When I first decided to get involved with racing partnerships I attended a seminar to get a little more educated. After understanding how they basically worked I decided to call several of them and ask a few questions. I finally decided to try three of them out (Team Valor, West Point and Starview). I purchased a few horses from each to see how it would go. After two years my decision of who I should stay with became clear. Starview was OK but just lacked the quality of horses I was looking for. West Point was extremely disappointing. The communication was very poor and they seemed to be more of a "horse" mill than a partnership. Team Valor was the one.
I have been with them for a little more than 10 years and it has been a great ride. They are professional in every aspect and have the quality horse I had wanted. Regardless of what percentage of a horse I owned I was always treated and felt like I was a majority owner.
I've had the good fortune to have my share of winners...from Allowance to Grade 1's. For me one of the greatest thrills was winning a Grade 1 in Saratoga.
All I can say if you're looking to get involved do your homework but trust me you'll see that Team Valor will be your choice too.

I have been a Team Valor partner for ten years. Team Valor has enabled me to play at the highest level of horse racing with a reasonable investment. We have raced in three Belmont Stakes, The Kentucky Derby, numerous Breeders Cup races. My most enjoyable time, was when I represented Team Valor in Hong Kong. Our great mare Irridescense beat the champion mare Ouija Board, in the Group one, 1.8 million QEII. Everything was comped by the Hong Kong jockey club. It was a grat week of track work, sightseeing, and ofcourse, winning the race. I was afforded this opportunity because of Team Valor. Barry Irwin the managing partner in Team Valor, is an expert at picking out yearling's, and finding great horses, in obscure places. We race all over the world, which is a great experience. I strongly recommend Team Valor. You will get to the winner's circle with Saturday afternoon stakes horses. Barry is an honest, fun and caring guy.
