Started in 2006, Dee Tee Stables grew out of Steve Byk's Derby Trail.com, and offers interested fans a chance to experience racehorse ownership at a minimal fixed cost. For one time buy-ins of $500-$1,500 per share, Dee Tee Stables associates have enjoyed attending races at Saratoga, Belmont, Churchill, Keeneland, Arlington, Tampa Bay and Turfway as owners of 4 current runners. Byk (Sirius Satellite Radio's 'At the Races with Steve Byk') and trainer Chuck Simon manage this fun and unique group.

I have been involved from the beginning and every day brings new experiences and excitement. Steve and Chuck have enabled many to become part owners of many horses and to experience the daily adventures involved in horse racing. The up to date communication really makes you feel part of the process with each horse. Their availability to answer questions and supply information is amazing.
The entire staff is great to be around. Saratoga is a special place, but when you have the opportunity to take part as an owner there is no feeling like it. This partnership has made it all possible. I've owned a piece of the original 4 horses and will invest in the next 5.

Since I have a love for horse racing, this seems like a great idea.To be
honest I wasnt sure WHAT I would get out of it.. Well I liked it so well I
invested in a second horse. Its a wonderful feeling to say...""Hey I own that horse""! The thrill to walk the backside of Saratoga and see ""my horse"" is priceless ! If your not sure about doing this, please jump in
you will get more fun and bang for you buck !

I have always wanted to know what it would be like to own a horse. To get up close to the horses and talk with the trainer. The thrill of hearing the race call with my horse winning. Of course I never heard the call I was too excited and yelling for her.
It was always a dream that I couldn't afford at any level of racing but with the help of Steve Byk and Chuck Simon, my dream for the most part has come true.
The great thing about Dee Tee is it is a one time expense up front. There are no monthly bills to pay. The trainer trades his services for 50% ownership of the horse.
I recently went to watch one of our horses race at Turfway Park. I would have never visited Turfway if my horse hadn't been running. I want to stop and make a point here -
to watch my horse run I have been to
Arlington Park, Churchill Downs, Keeneland, Tampa Bay and now Turfway Park.
I met up with some other partners. We talked about all of her races and her chances today. After a 5 month layoff, she was a little short but you know she was trying her heart out as she battled back and was only beat a couple lengths.
After the race I was able to go back to the barn and check in on her and talk with the assistant trainer.
If you are looking to get involved now is a good time. Dee Tee has 4 horses they are selling shares in right now.

Nothing but good things to say....Chuck and his staff are great...Steve does a super job of organizing the gatherings on race days...the experience includes everything from seeing the 2yos develop right thru seeing the older race mares run and win. Training hours, Barn visits, the prerace paddock experience, the winners cirle, and of course the opportunity to make new acquaintences with a great group of people who share a similiar interest in the Sport of Kings...

I have been involved from the beginning. Steve and Chuck do an incredible job keeping everyone informed through the Derby Trail website. The one time fee is an incredible benefit for those financially strapped. I never thought I would able to be involved in t-bred ownership and this has simply been incredibly easy due to the skill of Chuck and Steve running everything for us.
My only regret is only being able to be involved with the first two purchases (Sumwonlovesyou and Kickin N Screamin.) Just with those two horses, we've pretty much seen the whole gamut of horse racing including extremely close 2nd place finishes, last place finishes, workout injuries, pre-race paddock mishaps, and best of all...even a winner's circle photo! I have zero complaints with anything and would recommend it to anyone.

The opportunity of a lifetime to experience thoroughbred racing from the “other side of the fence.” Total professionalism, solid backgrounds and open communication from all involved with Team Dee Tee from top to bottom have made this a great partnership to be involved with from day one (... and the best is yet to come!)

I have been involved in Dee Tee Stable since its inception. Can't say enough good things about my experience. Steve Byk and Chuck Simon ensure that members are always informed not only as to when our horses are entered in a race, but also works, plans for upcoming races and info about anything else that may be happening with the stable.
An added plus is the great group of people involved in the partnerships. A day at the races with this group is a day that you will never forget!

I've been involved with the partnership for over a year now and couldn't be more happy. Steve, Chuck et al do a fantastic job of keeping everyone informed and involved with all the happenings of our stable through frequent e-mail and blog updates.
Anyone that has ever thought or dreamed of horse ownership, this is the group for you. The one time purchase price is really what separates this group from others I've looked at in the past. There are no games or gimmicks here. Also been able to learn infinately more about the entire "sport of Kings" through the entire DT family.
There still is nothing in the world like race day when one of your horses is running, and when you hit the Winners Circle, its just unbelievable.

I've been a fan of horses and racing for as long as I can remember. The thrill of being an owner, albeit in a small way, is something I only imagined I could experience. Two years, and part of six horses later, I can only say a huge 'thank you' to Steve and Chuck. Without them, it would not be possible. As others have said, it's the best money I've ever spent. Unlike other partnerships, there is only a start-up cost involved. If you're looking for fun, excitement, and the absolute thrill of watching one of 'your' horses run, without breaking the bank-this is your place to go. Steve and Chuck are both so helpful, full of information, and most importantly, they are patient! Thanks guys for all your hard work.

i have been in since the beginning and while there have been disappointments the thrill of seeing your horse run at major venues and being a part of a grass roots experience is enriching and rewarding.

I've been involved with the Dee Tee gang from day one. Chuck and Steve are absolutely the best and run a great partnership program. I have learned so much from Chuck Simon and his Asst. Trainers that I have a totally different approach to the game than before. Just a great way to get involved in Racing.

This partnership is the best money I have ever spent. We get all of the thrills of ownership for a one time fee with no additional expense ever. Great communication and great people make this great fun. I can't recommend DeeTee highly enough.

I've been involved with Dee Tee since its initial purchase of Sumwon. Being a part of the training, schooling and ultimatey watching her run at four different tracks (2 live) was easlily worth the one-time expense. If you want to be a part of a fun, diverse group who talk everyday through derbytrail.com and whose founder can be heard daily on radio. for a minimum amount of money and no bills. You found your partnership. Heck even if you don't want to be a partner come visit the web site anyway. Find a DeeTee horse running and come out to see what it's all about. The Love of Racing.

Dee Tee Stables is the best money I have ever spent. Like many of the other comments, I have been involved since the purchase of our first filly, Sumwonlovesyou. It has been a wonderful experience. Steve and Chuck are very gracious hosts and at every race there is a great group of people from around the country to cheer our horse on. I have learned so much during my involvement.
Anyone looking to become involved in thoroughbred racing should dip their toes in by joining Dee Tee Stables.

Affordable, fun and a great group of people. Trainer and his team are VERY accessible and cooperative with partners. Involved since it's inception in 2007. The partnership tries to run at as may different venues as possible, however it has primarily been the East and Midwest tracks to this point, ie... Churchill, Saratoga, Belmont, Keeneland, Turfway, Tampa, Arlington. Great introduction to the ownership aspect of horse racing.

I highly recommend Dee Tee Stables to anyone who has an interest in gettting involved in the ownership of thoroughbred race horses. Steve Byk
and Chuck Simon (organizer and trainer) are both intelligent, down to earth
people who have become great friends to myself as i have gotten involved in their first few partnerships. This is a great way to put a limited
amount of money up front and enjoy the experience of owning a horse. I would highly recommend this format also to someone who wants to get their feet wet before owning horses either by themselves or in a more meaningful way. I highly recommend Dee Tee Stables who races at all the major tracks in the East and Midwest.

I've been involved in Dee Tee Stables for over a year now and can't believe the excitement that it has brought me and my family. Not only do you get to own horses, you make great friendships and gain so much knowledge along the way.
Truly a dream come true.

Created in December of 2006, Dee Tee Stables was the brainchild of Steve Byk whose thoroughbred racing message board; DerbyTrail.com had members wanting in get involved with owning part of a thoroughbred runner. The partnership was a grass roots effort by Steve and trainer; Chuck Simon and members of DerbyTrail who started with a small investment and now have a eight horse stable. Our first runner; Sumwonlovesyou was hand selected by Chuck Simon and finished 2nd three straight times during the summer of 2007. Our second runner; Kickin N Screamin garnered own first victory on Preakness day of 2008. Since then, we added two three year old runners and have a current partnership on four other young runners. This was a exciting opportunity for myself to be involved with the "Sport of Kings" and highly recommend anyone who loves the sport of thoroughbred racing and would like to have a "piece" of a horse and meet others who love it too, to look into our partnerships.

the best fun money, the the wife and i ever spent! we've been involved from the begining (2yrs). it's not just owning a small piece of a race horse, it's a social event. the partners make Dee Tee fun. a Very good group of people from all over the country and all occupations. Dee Tee has also been a tremendous learning experience about all phases of the sport.
the one time buy in fee makes being part of the partnership affordable to the average guy.
chuck and steve have been great to work with. they answer any and all as soon as they can. they are easily accessable, by email, Derby Trail.com and phone. chuck and his staff allow easy access to the horses at the track and at the farm. they are happy to answer questions.
chuck keeps everyone up to date with his Dee Tee, chuck simon racing and year in the life of a trainer blogs. steve does email updates when warrentied. steve also does updates on his radio show.

I have been involved with Dee Tee since our first Auction purchase.
Steve Byk and Chuck Simon are amazing. The time and effort they put into the partnership is truly remarkable. The one time fee structure is great and keeps things simple.
One of the best experiences I had was when we saddled our runner up at Saratoga. Being able to watch her work in the AM, visit the barn and be in the paddock on race day was a dream fulfilled.
As the stable has grown, I realize I would rather have a small piece of a bunch of runners than a big share of one horse. When they lose, you can look to the future without too much pain. When they succeed, your a winner and I couldn't care less what my ownership % is.
Great group, great management, tons of fun!

It is run by great people at a low cost. They do what is right by the horse.
